Panel Overview
The ‘Testimonials’ panel displays a visually engaging slideshow of testimonial buttons introducing different members of your community. This panel is powered by a single Post element inside of a Container element.
Each testimonial consists of a large profile image with the name and role of the community member on display at the bottom. When the visitors hover over the button, a ‘View Bio’ button will display. This opens a pop-up showing a full biography of the community member to provide the visitor with a richer insight into your school or district’s community.
Panel Image Sizes
The following pixel dimensions are recommended for the images uploaded to the Resources module for this panel. Following these guidelines will help you to achieve an ideal balance of visual quality and loading speed for your content:

Update the Panel Title
To update the title of the ‘Testimonials’ panel:
- Go to the ’Pages’ panel and select the homepage.
- Turn on the ‘Compose’ toggle in the bar at the bottom of the page interface.
- Refresh the page in your web browser.
- Scroll to the ‘Testimonials’ panel.
- Hover over the Container element displaying the panel title and click on the ‘gear’ icon in the top-right corner.
- Click into the ‘Title’ field in the ‘Edit Container Element Settings’ window.
- Update the text or click on the blue toggle to the right of the ‘Title’ field to hide the element title.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the ‘Edit Container Element Settings’ window.
Update the ‘View All Stories’ Link
To update the ‘View All Stories’ link below the title of the Testimonials panel:
- Go to the Pages panel and select the homepage.
- Turn on the ‘Compose’ toggle in the bar at the bottom of the page interface.
- Refresh the page in your web browser.
- Scroll to the ‘Testimonials’ panel.
- Hover over the Container element and click on the ‘gear’ icon in the top-right corner.
- Click on ‘+ Design’ at the bottom of the ‘Edit Container Element Settings’ window.
- Click into the ‘Header Content’ content editor
- Update the existing link text, making sure not to remove the link applied to it.
- Right-click on the link and choose ‘Edit Link’ from the action menu.
- Select a link type from the top of the ‘Link’ properties window.
- Update the link settings and make sure that the ‘Open link in a new tab’ checkbox is only ticked if the link opens a page on an external website.
- Make sure the ‘button-arrow’ class is still applied in the ‘Class’ field.
- Click on the ‘OK’ button at the bottom of the ‘Link’ properties window.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the ‘Edit Container Element Settings’ window.
Add a Testimonial to the Slideshow
Each testimonial in the ‘Testimonials’ panel is powered by an individual post added to the Posts module.
To add a new testimonial, begin by uploading a profile image for it:
- Click on the ‘folder’ icon button in Composer’s left navigation to access Resources.
- Click on the ‘Resources’ tab.
- Create or select an existing folder for your new thumbnail in the ‘Public’ directory
- Click on the ‘Add Public Resource’ button at the top right of the Resources interface.
- Choose from the upload options available and upload the new image.
- Once the upload is complete, update the following image properties in the ‘Edit Resource Details’ window:
- Click into the ‘Title’ field and add a short title for your image (this is for internal use and will not be seen by the visitor).
- Click into the ‘Alt Text’ field and add a short description explaining the contents of the image. This is used by screen reading software to describe the image for visitors who are unable to see it.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the ‘Edit Resource Details’ window.
Image Size: The recommended image size for the post thumbnail is 800px (wide) by 1000px (high).
With the profile image uploaded, add a new post to the Posts module:
- Click on the ‘Modules’ tab in Composer’s left navigation and select Posts.
- Click on the ‘Boards’ tab.
- Select the board that has been configured to display in the ‘Testimonials’ panel.
- Click on the ‘Create Post’ button at the top right of the Board interface.
- Add the content for your new post:
- Click into the ‘Title’ field and add the name of the community member (for example, ‘Linda Davis’).
- Click into the ‘Body Content’ content editor and type in a short biography of the community member. This may consist of one or more paragraphs.
- Open the ‘Summary’ panel and type in a word or short phrase describing the role of the community member (for example, ‘Class of 1984’)
- Open the ‘Thumbnail & Resource’ panel and click on the ‘Browse’ button to select the image you have uploaded for this testimonial.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom right of the Post interface.
- Click on ‘Yes’ in the ‘Publish Now’ window to publish the post immediately.
Once the post has been published, the new testimonial will display in the ‘Testimonials’ panel automatically. The posts are set to display in date order.

Update the ‘View Full Story’ Button Label
Each testimonial button in the ‘Testimonials’ panel displays an arrow button with the label ‘View Full Story’ when the visitor hovers over it. This button opens a pop-up showing a full biography of the community member to provide the visitor with a richer insight into your school or district’s community.
To update the ‘View Full Story’ button label:
- Go to the ’Pages’ panel and select the homepage.
- Turn on the ‘Compose’ toggle in the bar at the bottom of the page interface.
- Refresh the page in your web browser.
- Scroll to the ‘Testimonials’ panel.
- Hover over the Post element powering the slideshow of testimonial buttons and click on the ‘gear’ icon in the top-right corner.
- Click on ‘+ Content Details’ towards the top of the ‘Edit Post Element Settings’ window.
- Click into the ‘link’ checkbox at the bottom of this section and update the button label.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the ‘Edit Post Element Settings’ window.
Reorder a Testimonial
The order of the testimonials in the ‘Testimonials’ panel is determined by the publish dates of the posts that power them within thePosts module. The testimonials will display in date order by default.
To reorder a testimonial:
- Click on the ‘Modules’ tab in Composer’s left navigation and select Posts.
- Click on the ‘Boards’ tab.
- Select the board that has been configured to display in the Testimonials slideshow.
- Select the post representing the testimonial that you want to reorder.
- Click into the ‘Start Date’ field and update the existing date. If the start date of the post is more recent than another post, it will display before it in the slideshow. If the start date is older, the post will display after it.
- Click on the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the post interface.
Remove a Testimonial
To remove a testimonial from the ‘Testimonials panel, delete the post that powers it within the Posts module:
- Click on the ‘Modules’ tab in Composer’s left navigation and select Posts.
- Click on the ‘Boards’ tab.
- Select the board that has been configured to display in the Testimonials slideshow.
- Select the post that you want to remove.
- Click on the ‘Delete’ icon button at the bottom of the post interface.
- Confirm you want to delete the post in the ‘Delete Post’ validation window.
