Our Principal

Mr. Morrison is the Principal at Oxford Middle School. He has two stepchildren and a daughter. His stepson, Justin Huckaby, is a graduate of Auburn University and is a pharmacist at East Alabama Medical Center. His stepdaughter, Emily Huckaby, is a preschool teacher in Vance. His daughter Sadie Grace is a 2023 graduate of Oxford High School and attends Jacksonville State University. Mr. Morrison has more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, coach and administrator. Prior to entering the field of education, Mr. Morrison served as the Youth Sports Athletic Director for the Alpharetta and East Cobb YMCAs. He has fifteen years of cumulative experience in the Oxford City School System at Oxford Middle School: seven years as an English teacher, six years as an Assistant Principal, and two years as the Principal.

Mr. Morrison holds a B.S. in Secondary Education, English from Georgia State University and an M.A. in Secondary Education, English, and Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University.

Mr. Morrison works hard to build relationships with students and teachers to create a positive, safe, and collaborative environment for all students and faculty. He believes through support and encouragement teachers and students reach their greatest potential and perform at their highest.
